1972
Berenberg Bank International S.A. was established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the year 1972.
NORD/LB GZ acquired 100% of the company’s shares in 1975, leading to a change of name to “Norddeutsche Landesbank Luxembourg S.A.“
2006
The license for taking over business activity as the Luxembourg covered bond bank NORD/LB Covered Finance Bank S.A. was issued in May 2006. It is a 100% directly owned subsidiary of NORD/LB Luxembourg S.A. and constitutes the competence centre for international public finance within the NORD/LB Group.
2011
NORD/LB Luxembourg and its subsidiary NORD/LB Covered Finance Bank moved into a newly built office premises in Luxembourg-Findel.
2015
In 2015 NORD/LB Luxembourg merged with the subsidiary company NORD/LB Covered Finance Bank to become NORD/LB Luxembourg S.A. Covered Bond Bank.
